چکیده

The prevalence of atrial fibrillation is high and comparable in both sexes. Such factors as differently expressed blood biomarkers women men may play a role the occurrence development thrombotic complications. To study markers inflammation platelet activation patients with non-valvular origin, receiving anticoagulant therapy having history complications without complications, depending on gender patients. included 22 healthy volunteers 60 diagnosed therapy, which 21 developed Serum levels α2- macroglobulin, hsC-reactive protein, fetuin A, α-1-acid glycoprotein, L-selectin, serum amyloid P, adipsin, factor 4 were studied FLEXMAP 3D using Acute Phase diagnostic test systems Panel 3. A comparative content demonstrated an increased concentration C-reactive protein groups fibrillation; decrease L-selectin group thrombosis compared women. There no differences volunteers. level adipsin had volunteers, however, it was significantly thrombosis. exceeded value this indicator women; found fibrillation. Low simultaneous increase 4, lead to prothrombogenic potential change balance pro- antiinflammatory mediators towards female

Novel fibro-inflammation markers in assessing left atrial remodeling in non-valvular atrial fibrillation

BACKGROUND Structural remodeling is associated with the fibroinflammatory process in the atrial extracellular matrix. In the present study we aimed to investigate whether serum levels of new circulating remodeling markers differ in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) compared to patients with sinus rhythm. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study population included 52 patients diagnosed with non-va...

The Prevalence of Prescription of New Anticoagulant Drugs and Its Determinant Factors in Patients With Ischemic Stroke and Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation

Background: Patients with ischemic stroke and underlying Atrial Fibrillation (AF) have a high risk of recurrent embolic events. New Oral Anticoagulant (NOAC) is highly effective and reduces the risk of recurrence in AF-associated Ischemic Stroke (AFAIS). Objectives: This study aimed to determine the prescription pattern of NOAC and its determinant factors in patients with non-valvular AFAIS. ...

Mean platelet volume is associated with the presence of left atrial stasis in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation

BACKGROUND Mean platelet volume has been associated with stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. However, its role as a predictor of left atrial stasis, assessed by transesophageal echocardiography, in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation has not yet been clarified. METHODS Single center cross-sectional study comprising 427 patients admitted to the emergency department due to s...

Warfarin in non-valvular atrial fibrillation.

The development of novel oral anticoagulants that are effective alternatives to warfarin in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) is a welcome advance. However, a variety of unresolved problems with their use, and not least with their cost, make it important to re-evaluate the use of warfarin as it will likely remain the anticoagulant of choice in South African patients with non-valvular AF for...

intraoperative radiofrequency and cryoablation for atrial fibrillation in patients with valvular heart disease

patients with valvular heart disease and suffering atrial fibrillation of more than 12 months duration have a low probability of remaining in sinus rhythm after valve surgery alone. we performed intra-operative radiofrequency ablation or cryoablation as an alternative to surgical maze ііі procedure to create linear lesion lines for conversion of this arrhythmia to sinus rhythm. a total of 30 pa...
